INGREDIENTS

Water, Dihydroxyacetone, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Xylitol, Citric Acid, fragrance, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract.

HOW TO USE

Shake well before use to blend the oil and water phases. Apply evenly to the skin and gently massage until fully absorbed. Use as needed to build your desired level of tan.

Colour develops over a few hours, so most people apply in the evening and see the result the next morning. Wash your hands after application. Build gradually rather than all at once — a second application deepens the tan more evenly than a heavy first one.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children.

SUN SAFETY

This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

A sunless tan gives you colour, not protection — wear sunscreen as you normally would.

The formula

What’s in the bottle, and why it’s in there.

Glycerone

This is the part that makes the tan. Glycerone is a simple sugar that reacts with amino acids in the outermost layer of skin, so colour comes up over a few hours instead of all at once. That slow build is what lets you stop at the depth you want. Nothing is absorbed and no UV is involved.

Hyaluronic Acid, four ways

Four forms that hold water at the surface: sodium hyaluronate, the acetylated and hydrolysed versions, and a crosspolymer. Molecule size changes how each one behaves, which is why one form on its own does less. Together they are the reason the oil leaves skin feeling smooth rather than sticky.

Panthenol

Provitamin B5, and it helps skin hold onto water. That matters more than it sounds here: dry skin grabs more colour than hydrated skin does, so keeping it comfortable is part of getting an even result. It has been a fixture in body care for decades.

Centella Asiatica

Better known as gotu kola, a creeping plant from the wetlands of Asia. It has been used in skincare for generations for the way it leaves skin feeling calm and comfortable, which is worth having in something you spread over large areas and then leave on.

Licorice & Baikal Skullcap

Both are used in skincare for evenness of tone, which is the whole point of them here. A gradual tan is only worth having if it comes up uniformly. Glycyrrhiza glabra root and Scutellaria baicalensis root, two botanicals with a long history in East Asian skincare.

Green Tea & Rosemary

Antioxidant plant extracts, in the formula for skin comfort rather than for the colour. Camellia sinensis and Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extracts, with chamomile and Japanese knotweed. They sit at the end of the list, so treat them as a supporting cast rather than the main event.

Why Asuno

A tan you can put on in the evening.

Thousands of customers have made Asuno part of the routine they already keep.

Even, year-round tan

Glycerone, a simple sugar, develops a gradual, sunless tan over a few hours. It behaves the same in February as it does in July, so the colour never depends on the weather.

Cheap and low effort

No salon to book and no sunbed to pay for. One bottle, one price, and a few minutes in your own bathroom.

Lightweight and fast-absorbing

A lightweight, fast-absorbing formula. It sinks in quickly enough that you can get dressed soon after, rather than waiting around in a towel.

An even skin tone

Formulated to support an even, natural look as the colour develops, instead of the patchiness a rushed application usually leaves behind.

Skin hydration

Four forms of hyaluronic acid with panthenol and centella asiatica, to nourish skin for a smooth, soft feel rather than a tacky one.

No UV, no bronzers

No sunbed, and no guide colour sitting on the surface to rub off on clothes or sheets. It is not a sunscreen, so keep wearing one.

Q&A

The ones we get asked most

Will it turn me orange?

Not if you build it gradually. Orange comes from applying too much at once, or from products leaning on bronzers and dyes for instant colour — there are none on our list. Glycerone develops in your own skin, so the result follows your natural tone.

Apply a thin, even layer and add a second the next day if you want more.

How long does it take, and how long does it last?

Colour starts to show within a few hours and settles over roughly eight, which is why most people apply in the evening. From there it fades as your skin renews itself, typically over several days. Reapply as needed rather than to a schedule.

Does it protect me from the sun?

No. This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

A sunless tan gives you colour and nothing else. Wear sunscreen as you normally would.

Where should I not use it?

External use only, and keep it away from the eyes. Hands and feet take colour more readily than the rest of you, so go sparingly there and wash your hands afterwards. If irritation occurs, stop using it.

How much is it a month?

On the 4-month plan: $36.99 a month from your second delivery onward.

Your first delivery is $99.96, which works out at $24.99 a month to start.

How do I cancel?

Whenever you like. No minimum number of deliveries and no cancellation fee.

Email support@asuno.com or use the contact form — that’s all it takes.
